Alex Semel is a Humanitarian Photojournalist, specializing in creating compelling picture stories, and fine art photography. She has the ability to see the ‘unique” in what may appear on the surface to be mundane. Her work reveals the hidden human sideof life, by capturing everyday life issues faced by people worldwide, by presenting images of ordinary people, across the globe, simply trying to live their lives. Alex documents the work of both faith based and non-faith based NGOs, as well. She has a soft spot for children, animals, and the elderly. She has most recently been focusing her attention towards women who are victims of abuse, documenting the toll that such physical abuse, verbal abuse, as well as those who are victims of Human Trafficking. When not traveling, or working on these projects, Alex is available for weddings, portraits, events, commercial photography, head shots, and baby, children, pet and family photography. She is available for project documentation (Automobile, Boat, Motorcycle, Home renovations, and the like), product photography, and is also available for freelance news and photojournalism assignments, or as a second shooter, to assist other photographers with their assignments.
